Liverpool John Moores final year show. They was things from print to video material. Lots of colour and inspiration. They’re final presentation was impeccable
Getting closest to my final design for my iphone app. ‘The paper bank’ an app thats aimed at the more mature audience/ business orientated audience. By connecting the app to their work e-mails, any messages, memos etc for ever page sent you get a nectar point. It’s encouraging people to e-mail and not print as an average office base worker uses around 10,000 pieces of a paper a year.
Presentations… This presentation from one of the students in our class was really interested. I loved the choice of layout and theme
Dissertation Proposal
I found it really difficult to think of a question or even a topic. With much deliberation I finally thought of a interesting topic.
I find todays visual art is produced to prove a point about something or tell people a specific view/ message, due to war. politics, power religion and many other areas. Whereas I think visual art was originally to express emotion and feeling of a particular person.
I’m going to look through the contrast of the message and the concept by looking through different era’s of visual art and find out whether:
‘Has visual art lost it’s true purpose?’
Plough shares and other thoughts
it takes 5000 litres of water to make a ream of paper
To begin I designed a website (seen below) I though the idea of for every ‘e-card’ sent saved 10L of water, but I had a lot of difficulty of giving it that extra something to make people use the service. I also wasn’t keen on my website design, though web design isn’t one of my strong points. So I looked at this as a more of a development.
I went on to a new idea that I had whilst making a paper airplane from a receipt. My idea was to create a iphone app that connects to e-mails (aimed at more business/office based people, adults) and logs how many pages they e-mail instead of printing. The idea was to make it appealing so for every 5 pages saved, they would be rewarded with a nectar point. I think the idea of making it more grown up and rewarding is far more appealing.
My first design for e-co card website
